Type of institution: University/Higher Education Institution
Make a positive impact on people and society through a combination of creative vision, technical expertise and strategic thinking. Take a hands-on, studio-based approach to learning, just as you would as a practising architect. Our Bachelor of Architectural Design is the first stage of a five-year qualification. You'll be taught by industry experts in the latest facilities, developing strong technical skills and focusing on important issues in today's world, including sustainability and the environment. Working in small studio groups, you'll tackle a variety of real-world design projects, such as low-cost energy efficient housing, improving high-density buildings or finding new ways to revitalise a suburban shopping precinct. On successful completion of your bachelor degree, you'll move on to the Master of Architecture, gaining advanced knowledge of architecture's theories, practices and evolving construction systems. Enjoy the freedom to grow your expertise in the areas that interest you the most, from housing to urban design to digital design.
