The Bachelor of Information Technology (Software Development) is a comprehensive, industry-aligned degree designed to equip students with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional mindset required to thrive in the fast-paced world of software development. Across three years of full-time study (or equivalent part-time), students gain in-depth experience in programming, project management, cyber security, application development, databases, cloud computing, and software engineering principles. The course balances theoretical foundations with hands-on learning through real-world projects, team-based collaboration, and industry tools. Students will graduate ready to design, build, and manage software solutions across a variety of platforms and industries—ranging from mobile and web development to enterprise systems and emerging technologies such as AI and IoT.

Entry requirements
- Students must be 18 years of age before commencement of the designated study period.
- The minimum academic entry requirement for all students is an Australian Year 12 senior secondary school certificate with an ATAR 50 or its international equivalent and the conditions consistent with the requirements for Subclass 500 visas in the case of international students.
- Completion of AQF Level 4 study-If a student completes an Australian Certificate IV in vocational study (AQF Level 4), they will be able to enol in an undergraduate course at NEXUS INSTITUTE
- English Language Proficiency
- International students have a visa requirement. To obtain a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol full-time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also require international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the standard full-time duration
