Study interior design at QUT and join a university with a reputation for producing Australia’s best interior design graduates. You’ll learn from real-world practitioners with direct links to industry, and build your portfolio and network with 100 hours of real work placement. Your interior design degree begins with introductory impact lab units where, working with students from other disciplines, you’ll address contemporary challenges and identify potential solutions through partnering with industry and the community. Your studies will centre on design process, theory and technology, including 2D and 3D digital drafting. Building on these foundations, you’ll delve into design psychology and the sociocultural aspects of design, as well as your choice of units from other areas of study. Later in your degree, you can transfer your skills and knowledge straight to the workplace and gain practical work experience with our work integrated learning program.
