This coursework program specifically aims to prepare students for leadership roles in the management of engineering and technology-based organisations. It challenges students to demonstrate that they can meet the increasing demands by industry, government and the community for knowledgeable, creative and responsible leadership. The program provides opportunity for students to develop an understanding of the many facets of contemporary engineering management and the impact of new technology and technological change on engineering and technology-based organisations.

Standard entry requirements

  • An Australian Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Engineering Science or Bachelor of Engineering, or equivalent, in any engineering discipline, or a Bachelor of Business, or equivalent, in any business discipline, with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of equal to or greater than 2.0 out of 4.0. Applicants with a GPA less than 2.0 out of 4.0 may be considered on a case-by-case basis, with consideration given to at least two years' relevant work experience in engineering or business
  • Or an Australian Master of Engineering, Master of Business or PhD, or equivalent, in any engineering or business discipline

Study pathways

If applicants have successfully completed one of the following qualifications, will be eligible for 48 credit points of exemptions: An Australian Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Engineering Science or Bachelor of Engineering, at AQF level 8 or equivalent, in any engineering discipline, or a Bachelor of Business, at AQF level 8 or equivalent, in any business discipline; an Australian Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Engineering Science or Bachelor of Engineering, at AQF level 7 or equivalent, in any engineering discipline, or a Bachelor of Business, at AQF level 7, or equivalent, in any business discipline; and at least two years' relevant work experience in engineering or business An Australian Master of Engineering, Master of Business or PhD, or equivalent, in any engineering or business discipline.
