Master of Project Management

The Master of Project Management is designed to provide students with expertise in project management across a range of industries. Students develop the knowledge, skills and conceptual understanding needed to apply project management principles to project work and address resource management, risk management, business analysis and strategy. Units cover a range of practical contexts across the areas of entrepreneurship, management and leadership. The course addresses managing project teams, human resource management, change management, budgets and organisational behaviour. Students also develop problem-solving skills and learn how to establish and communicate innovative solutions to a range of audiences. They become equipped to create and communicate professional project plans that address complex business problems, support organisational change and respond to ethical issues. Students select a specialisation from options including information systems and risk management. The Master of Project Management is part of a nested suite of programs, which includes the Graduate Certificate of Project Management and the Graduate Diploma of Project Management.

  • Completed a bachelor degree (or higher award) in any discipline from a recognised higher education institution or equivalent
  • or completed the Postgraduate Qualifying Program (available to International applicants only)

Recognition

Students enrolled in this course are eligible for student membership to the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM). Upon completion, students may upgrade to associate or full member status and are entitled to automatic recognition for AIPM’s Registered Project Manager (RegPM) Certification as a Certified Practising Project Practitioner (CPPP).

Credit is granted in recognition of previous study and/or experience and allows students to gain advanced standing towards their course. Applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
