Bachelor of Education Studies

The Bachelor of Education Studies is a 3-year (144 credit points) Education professional accredited award. This award prepares students for informed support work in Primary (R-6) and Secondary (7-12) school settings in all sectors as well as various industry contexts. The 3-year award produces graduates who are valuable to employers as they are highly knowledgeable, professionally mature and practically skilled career-ready educators. Tabor is one of the state’s premier teaching colleges and places major emphasis on the art of meaningful teaching practice. Hallmarks of the course include 2 community engagement projects, personal and professional formation in aspects of wellbeing, Christian faith, ethics, and flexible pathway opportunities to focus on literacy, numeracy, Secondary subject area specialisation (major in a subject area), wellbeing and curriculum which are sequenced to increasing depth, length, and complexity.
