The Bachelor of Applied Commerce is a three year degree that prepares graduates for employment in the financial services sector. The course has been designed with input from the financial services industry ensuring that students are well placed to find jobs after graduation. You can choose either an accounting major, a financial planning major, or a double major. Subjects in management, marketing, law, economics and business statistics are included in both majors to ensure you have the full range of knowledge and skills required to work effectively in the fast paced financial services industry. This course requires 24 subjects for completion with full-time students typically enrolling in 4 subjects per semester.On completion of the Bachelor of Applied Commerce, graduates will be eligible to apply for membership with CPA, CA ANZ, TPB and FPA. Standard entry requirements

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSApplicants are required to hold, at minimum, one of the following to be considered eligible for admission:- a NSW HSC (Higher School Certificate) or equivalent OR- a recognised Tertiary Preparation Certificate OR- a qualification from a Registered Training Organisation at Certificate IV level or above OR- the completion of at least one year full-time or equivalent study at university or accredited higher education institution.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSApplicants who meet the minimum eligibility requirements may be invited to a pre-entry interview to discuss their career plans and suitability for entry into the course. The interview process will include a short literacy and numeracy assessment.SPECIAL ADMISSIONSIf you do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements for this course, you may be able to apply for entry into this course based on mature age or disadvantage. Contact the course coordinator for details of evidence that you should attach to your application.INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTSInternational applicants must meet proof of eligibility and course entry requirements. In addition, international applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency at a minimum IELTS level of 6.5 with a minimum level of 6 in any one band.
