This unit is part of the Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package. It specifies the outcomes required to remove non-friable asbestos containing material (ACM). The unit includes preparing, containing and removing non-friable ACM, and includes knowledge of decontamination and disposal requirements. Site location for work may be either domestic or commercial, and may be a demolition site, a new work site or an existing structure being renovated, extended, restored or maintained. Project sites may be construction sites and may also include ships, soils in relation to the non-friable asbestos removal process, and fences.
