A Bachelor of Business in International Hotel Management equips you with the skills for a global career in hotel management. You’ll gain immersive practical learning in a simulated hotel environment at our residential campus, along with valuable networking opportunities with leading hotel brands. You will begin your studies with a 12-week immersive trimester at our Leura campus, where you’ll experience all aspects of hotel operations before continuing at our Surry Hills campus. In addition, you’ll complete 720 hours of paid industry placement, gaining real-world experience with leading hospitality organisations.

Structure
Delivered on campus, the Bachelor of Business (International Hotel Management) comprises 24 core subjects, including four industry placement subjects. Each subject requires 10 hours of study per week (made up of classes and self-directed study). As part of these, students complete 720 hours of industry placement through core subjects IND102BM, IND103BM, IND202BM and IND203BM. Assessments may include essays, reports, presentations, case studies, reflective journals and applied training, with no formal exams.
Entry requirements
- Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent OR Successful completion of a Vocational qualification (AQF Level 4), or above OR Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent OR A minimum of successful completion of Year 10 or equivalent (e.g. Certificate 3) AND a minimum of 3 years of full-time relevant, cognate work experience demonstrated by a resume OR Minimum age of 21 AND successful completion of readiness assessment provided by the University.
