This course aims to provide an advanced level of training to professional counsellors to progress their qualifications and professional experience. The course provides students with opportunities to develop advanced counselling skills and change interventions in specialised models and specific contexts of practice, study counselling supervision in depth, and undertake project/applied research units relevant to their counselling practice and work context.

Standard entry requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline as approved by the University
- Demonstrate a minimum of two years' relevant experience, paid or voluntary by submission of a CV including 2 referees
- And attend a pre-admission interview at the University of Canberra.
Exit awards: Graduate Certificate in Counselling; Graduate Diploma in Counselling. The Graduate Certificate in Professional Supervision; and the Graduate Diploma in Counselling are subsumable into the Master of Counselling award.
