Awarded to former defence service persons.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be enrolled in the first year of undergraduate or postgraduate study (i.e. have not completed more than 12 months of the current degree); be enrolled in the final year of undergraduate or postgraduate study (i.e. have no more than 12 months of the current degree left); be known the Soldier On program as a former service person who has been affected by their service or an immediate family member of such a person; be students that received the Soldier On Scholarship in the first year are eligible to apply for the scholarship in the final year. Applicants will be assessed based on a 500 word statement addressing the following selection criteria: extent to which the recipient's study program will help them overcome challenges and create new opportunities for their future or extent to which the scholarship will enable the recipient to do what might not have otherwise been possible.
