This masters combines coursework and research and is designed for those already in an educational or science communication career. Students will undertake a professional development component in science, as well as gain a specialist foundation relevant for further research.

Standard entry requirements
Completion of an Australian university three-year Bachelor degree in any area, or equivalent, or equivalent professional work experience, as deemed appropriate upon application. For the Mathematics and Statistics specialisation: demonstrated knowledge of mathematics and communication skills consistent with that found in selected USQ course subjects.
Recognition
Graduates of the Master of Science (Sport and Exercise) 16-unit degree, may be able to gain accreditation as an exercise scientist via an individual application with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA).

Further information
Ipswich Campus - Only the Sport and Exercise specialisation is available on-campus at the Ipswich Campus. The Sport and Exercise specialisation is available on-campus Toowoomba (suitable for international on-campus students), on-campus Ipswich (not available for international on-campus students) and external mode. The Environment and Sustainability, Applied Climate Science and Astrophysics specialisations are only available to external students. Therefore, these specialisations are not suitable for international students who wish to study on-campus. Semester 2 intake for the Mathematics/Statistics specialisation will be subject to the approval of the Program Coordinator. The Sport and Exercise specialisation is not available to international overseas students.
