This program provides grounding in contemporary critical approaches to the study of literatures in English. It allows students the opportunity to specialise in a wide spectrum of subjects associated with English, American and Australian literature across a broad historical range. It also offers students a chance to familiarise themselves with academic debates about the status of world cultures, and it will enhance discussion and communication skills.

- (c) Master. Providing candidates satisfy the admission requirements for each stage, a candidate may progress to the award of any of the courses in this sequence. Only the longest award completed will be conferred.
