Women in Engineering Equity Scholarship
University of Technology Sydney (UTS)
The Women in Engineering Equity Scholarship is available to female students commencing an undergraduate Engineering degree in any major of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Diploma in Professional Practice. Preference is given to applicants experiencing financial and/or other educational barriers. It is also open to non-current school leavers.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be current or non-current school leaver with an ATAR or equivalent of 80 or above, be female; and be commencing their first year of an undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering (Honours); Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice (BEng(Hon)DipProfEngPrac) or a combined degree which includes the Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice (DipProfEngPrac) at UTS; be Australian citizens, or permanent resident, or permanent Humanitarian visa holders; and able to demonstrate financial disadvantage through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) Equity Scholarship application or the Educational Access Scheme. Selection is based on academic merit, and financial disadvantage.
Further details
When applying through UAC for UTS Equity Scholarships, Family Tax Benefit will not be considered as demonstrative of financial hardship. Only applicants receiving a Centrelink means-tested income support payment, or demonstrating exceptional financial hardship with supporting evidence will be considered.
