Master of Medicinal Chemistry
There is currently a high demand for graduates in medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry. Students will acquire advanced training in various fields of medicinal chemistry and gain significant skills in the drug discovery and development processes. This degree combines knowledge of chemistry and biology in order to understand the causes of disease leading to the design, synthesis, characterisation and development of medicines to treat or cure the diseases. Subjects introduce the basic elements of modern medicinal chemistry before delving into specialised training in drug discovery. This degree also integrates science communication and science management to prepare graduates for diverse career pathways.
