UNSW is rated five stars for Full-Time Employment in the 2018 edition of The Good Universities Guide. 76.4 per cent of UNSW undergraduates find full-time employment within four months of graduating — ahead of the national average, 69.5 per cent. Eight universities were awarded five stars for Full-Time Employment in the 2018 edition of the Guide, only two — UNSW and private university Notre Dame — were metropolitan based, all others are regional. UNSW is also the highest rating Group of Eight university for Full-Time Employment and the only one awarded five stars in this measure.

Key insights:

In the institution ratings, the university hits the top 20 per cent for both graduate outcome measures, making them a strong choice for finding a well-paying job after completing study.

These graduate outcomes are echoed at a field of study level, with the best in Australia for Starting Salary in creative arts and teacher education.

UNSW is also the best in the country for Full-Time Employment in health services and support.

Five-star field of study highlights

The University of New South Wales performed strongly in the graduate outcome measures, achieving five stars in Full-Time Employment and Starting Salary across nine and six fields of study respectively. At the field of study level, law and paralegal studies was the stand out, with top 20 per cent results in six measures.
