This Associate Degree in Policing Practice is designed to meet the educational needs of people seeking a career in the NSW Police Force. It's designed to provide an ideal combination of hands-on practice and theory and ideas to improve that practice. The degree is offered under an agreement between Charles Sturt and the NSW Police and focuses on the foundation studies and applied skills necessary for the modern policing profession.
Structure
The associate degree is offered in two components and is delivered over a number of sessions, depending on the pathway you follow. The course is delivered in trimesters. All five sessions are approximately 14 weeks long.

- Or TAFE Certificate or Diploma
- Or mature age entry. Applicants must also satisfy the NSW Police Service professional suitability requirements.

Study pathways
Applicants with previous policing experience in a recognised jurisdiction may elect to be considered for entry with advanced standing (or graduate status). All such applicants should submit a resume detailing service history including duration of service, experience and qualifications gained.
