Designed for students with a chemistry rich background, the course builds on your existing chemistry knowledge with research and professional skills to investigate, analyse and synthesise complex information, problems, concepts and theories to solve complex problems. Masters covers the practical and theoretical aspects of chemistry, as well as providing an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities and an awareness of social, economic, cultural and environmental aspects of chemistry in a global community. Projects and coursework have been designed to address topical concerns in industry and society, preparing you for further enrolment in a research degree or employment in chemistry related fields.

Structure
To qualify for the Master of Science (Chemistry), a student must complete 72 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic.

Entry requirements
- Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent with a major in chemistry or a closely related discipline from an approved tertiary institution.
- However, the Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.
- This course is not available to students who hold an Honours degree in the same discipline.
