Such connected smart objects, platforms and environments have been identified as the next big technology development that will enable changes to society and economic growth. The Internet of Things will become an inherent part of areas such as electricity, transportation, retail, energy management, resource control and management, healthcare and mining.In the Internet of Things specialisation, you’ll address challenges arising from the interconnection of the Internet and everyday devices by applying advanced and applied knowledge of the design, configuration and management of IoT systems, and communication services and networking, You’ll become an expert in networking technologies and protocols, security, hardware, operating systems and application programming and you’ll get hands-on experience in industry-recognised development methodologies, practices and tools.
