Master of Agribusiness

The Master of Agribusiness is designed for recent business, agricultural or rural science graduates, and for established professionals wanting to upgrade their management skills or redirect their career into agribusiness. You will select from over 30 courses providing you with a high level of specialized knowledge of agribusiness management, together with business and communication skills associated with your selected areas of study. You can also choose to complete a research project on a topic of your choice, and increase your technical and research skills working alongside some of the university leading academics and researchers or in an industry setting. You will graduate with a market-oriented focus, commercial awareness, an innovative and heightened global outlook, and the required technical skills to work in agribusiness management roles. Expect to find work in the food and fibre industries in managerial, administrative or research roles.

Structure

Complete 32 units for either of the following: 32 units for MAgribus - 2 year duration, or 32 units for MAgribus - 1.5 year duration (24 units of study and 8 units recognising your prior study and/or work experience)

Entry requirements

  • 2-year degree (32 units of study).
  • To be eligible to complete the degree in 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent), you'll need: a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, or a graduate certificate or graduate diploma in agribusiness, or to have successfully completed at least 3 years of study towards an approved qualification at an overseas partner institution, with a formal pathway to the Master of Agribusiness. 1.5-year degree (24 units of study).
  • If you have relevant prior learning or experience, you can reduce the number of courses you need to complete and graduate in less time. To be eligible to complete the degree in 1.5 years full-time (or part-time equivalent), you'll need: a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business or marketing.
