This combined degree program comprises the Bachelor of Surveying (Honours) program and the Bachelor of Business program with students having the option of choosing the Leadership and Management major or the Entrepreneurship and Innovation major. This program develops students' critical technical and surveying/engineering skills in cadastral surveying, geodesy, satellite positioning, photogrammetry, spatial data systems, remote sensing, water engineering, surveying techniques and computations. Students also develop business skills in accounting, finance, microeconomics, law, management, leadership and ethics, and entrepreneurship and innovation.
The Bachelor of Surveying (Honours) / Bachelor of Business is a 5 year program comprising 410 units, of which 350 units are core courses and 60 units are compulsory or directed units for the major. Students will have the opportunity to undertake an industry related project in their final year and must also complete 12 weeks of industrial experience throughout the program. A graded honours classification in surveying is awarded on the basis of superior performance throughout the program. The Bachelor of Business component of this combined program may be awarded with Distinction on the basis of superior performance throughout the program.

Standard entry requirements
Year 12 or equivalent. Alternative entry pathways may include approved TAFE studies, preparatory programs such as Newstep, Open Foundation or Tertiary Preparation Certificate. Assumed knowledge: HSC Mathematics (Band 5 or above) or equivalent. One science-related subject would also be an advantage (Physics or Chemistry preferred). Applicants who have achieved less than Mathematics Band 5 may be admitted to the program but may need to complete additional study to successfully complete the requirements of the program. Students who have completed HSC Mathematics General 2 may be admitted to the program but can expect to undertake additional studies to successfully complete the requirements of the program.
This degree is accredited by the Board of Surveying and Spatial Information of NSW and meets the requirements of the Reciprocating Board of Surveyors of Australia and New Zealand.
Credit transfer agreements with TAFE NSW and other education providers are under continuous negotiation. A Bachelor of Business (Honours) program is also available to meritorious students, as an additional year of full-time or equivalent part-time study.
