Graduate Diploma in Bioethics

Bioethics is a field that studies ethical challenges that arise in health care, public health and the life sciences. It thinks about and responds to social concerns about issues including engineering, migrant or prisoner health, animal experimentation, and ethical challenges in clinical medicine. You dont have to come from a medical or health background to study bioethics. Our students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, such as philosophy, humanities, social science, law, science, medicine, nursing, allied health professions, psychology and health management.

  • Admission to the Graduate Diploma in Bioethics requires:
  • a bachelors degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification in the field of science, medicine, nursing, allied health sciences, philosophy/ethics, sociology, anthropology, history, law or other relevant field or
  • completion of the requirements of an embedded graduate certificate or equivalent qualification.
