This course is offered jointly by UTS: Health and UTS: International Studies. It integrates the study of sport and exercise management with a major in the language and culture of another country. As the sport and exercise industry has undergone a period of substantial growth, the need for professionals with management skills and qualifications has become increasingly important. Graduates are equipped with the professional knowledge and skills to operate in one of Australias most dynamic industries.

Structure

Students must complete 240 credit points of study, comprising 144 credit points relating to sport and exercise management and 96 credit points relating to international studies. Refer to the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Management for full details of that component of the combined degree. The Bachelor of Arts in International Studies requires undergraduates to study a region or country major over a minimum of three years. It is not offered as a separate degree, but is completed only in combination with the professional degree program. Students spend their fourth year of study at a university overseas. This course has a professional internship component that includes a minimum of six weeks' work experience.

  • Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level. Admission to the combined degree is on merit according to the admissions selection criteria for the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Management (C10301). Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place.
