Master of Medicine - Pathology

This is a two year program with conference weeks and online learning modules covering both surgical pathology and cytopathology. The program aims to provide you with the necessary level of diagnostic knowledge to aid your successful completion of specialist training in Pathology. Note: Student visa holders are not eligible to study this degree. It is available for international students studying offshore (ie. not in Australia), who meet all other admission requirements.

Entry requirements

  • Completed Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent Australian or overseas degree in Medicine and current employment in a supervised training position in Anatomical Pathology as approved by The Royal College of Pathologist of Australasia (RCPA) or equivalent overseas college. The student must remain in such employment for the 2 year duration of this program. or
  • For applicants who are qualified pathologists, proof of fellowship with Royal College of Pathologist of Australasia (RCPA) or international equivalent and registration with AHPRA or other appropriate regulatory body.
