A number of ANU PhD Scholarships are funded by Colleges each year.

Eligibility

The scholarships are available to PhD applicants who hold a bachelor degree with at least upper second-class honours, a master degree with a research component, or equivalent. There are no restrictions on citizenship.

International scholars must undertake study on a full-time basis. Applications close 31 August for international students, and 31 October for domestic students.

Amount $27,596

The scholarships are valued at $27,596 per year (2019 RTP rate), paid in fortnightly instalments. Other benefits include: travel to Canberra from within Australia; reimbursement of some removal expenses; and a thesis reimbursement allowance. The maximum duration of the scholarship is 3 years for full-time study with a possible 6-month extension.
