The Australian National University (ANU)

The university funds a number of scholarships each year for Doctor of Philosophy or Professional Doctorate by Research students.

Eligibility

Applicants must: hold a bachelor degree with first-class honours or a research master degree from a recognised university, and be undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy or Professional Doctorate by Research at ANU. There are no restrictions on citizenship.

Applicants are encouraged to make contact with the relevant Graduate Studies Convener or prospective supervisor to discuss the proposed research topic and related matters prior to lodging their application. Applications close at the end of August for international students, and the end of October for domestic students.

Amount $27,082

The scholarships are valued at $27,082 per year. Other benefits includes travel and removal allowances for students relocating to Canberra; thesis allowance; dependant child allowance (international students only); and paid medical, maternity and paternity leave.
