This qualification is part of the Community Services Training Package. It reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children's wellbeing, learning and development. Individuals will gain the necessary skills to supervise activities and provide care for children, facilitate their learning, leisure and play; that allow them to make the most of their potential. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or autonomously.

18 units: 15 core; 3 elective

Electives: Support behaviour of children and young people; Comply with family day care administration requirements; Work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers; Promote innovation in a team environment; Interact positively with infants, toddlers and parents in a recreation environment; plus more.

Established in 2000, Australian Workplace Training Pty Ltd is a Registered Training Organisation offering a range of courses in the areas of Community Services, Business Services, Transport and Logistics and Foundation Skills: RTO Code: 40037. Many short courses are also available including courses in the areas of first aid, manual handling, palliative care, medication, child safe environments, forklift driving, dangerous goods, fatigue management and many more. Classroom based courses have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 25 students per course.
