This qualification is part of the Australian Meat Processing Training Package. It covers work activities undertaken by workers commencing work in meat enterprises which undertake specialised services, such as preparing shelf ready retail products, meat wholesalers, specialty meat cuts, gourmet meat, bulk value-added products, and providing meat preparation customer service. Specialisations include: Abattoirs; Meat retailing; Smallgoods; Meat processing, and Food processing.

Structure:

14 units: 6 core; 8 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Maintain personal equipment; Comply with Quality Assurance and HACCP requirements; Apply hygiene and sanitation practices; Follow safe work policies and procedures; Communicate in the workplace; Overview the meat industry. Plus electives.

Established in 1997, Axial Training is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that offers traineeship and apprenticeship trade training, business qualifications and a range of short courses and inductions. Axial offers traineeships and apprenticeships in the areas of: business, meat retail, engineering and automotive. Axial also provides training in mine inductions and site safety, first aid and Safely Access the Rail Corridor (SARC).
