The Diploma of Legal Studies provides students with a basic grounding in Australia's legal system, the principles of business law and contemporary legal issues confronting Australian society. This program provides a supported preparation and pathway for further undergraduate study in Law. Students will also learn communication and problem solving skills, engage in individual and group decision making and develop an understanding of ethics, morals and cultural beliefs.


Students will complete a total of eight subjects comprising Bond University Core subjects and discipline specific foundation subjects

Standard entry requirements

Completion of grade 12 or equivalent (OP 9 - 15 or ATAR 61.85 or better).

Study pathways

Successful completion of the Diploma of Legal Studies guarantees students a place in Bond's Bachelor of Laws with 80 credit points credited to the degree. The Diploma of Legal Studies is also a pathway into other bachelor degrees with varying credit.
