The Diploma of Business in the Digital Age will provide you with the skills in business and technology that are increasingly needed across a range of industries to support businesses to grow and evolve in a more uncertain environment. Business and technology skills have been identified as a priority. The Federal Government estimates that 87% of jobs across all sectors in Australia require digital literacy, with data and digital skills the fastest-growing emerging skills. To support this, the Diploma of Business in the Digital Age, Advanced Apprenticeship model, has been designed with the input of local businesses and industry stakeholders to address local skills shortages. You will gain a unique and differentiated opportunity from your peers in traditional higher education courses. As an advanced apprentice, you will spend most of your time learning in the workplace and working closely with a supervisor and university staff member who will support you in completing tasks aligned with your role and your business needs. You will undertake problem-based learning and apply the solutions to an authentic workplace problem. You will have the opportunity to gain crucial lifelong learning and transferable generic skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving and learn to apply these skills to a range of employment opportunities and life situations.

  • The Diploma of Business in the Digital Age course is available to approved students under the Future of Work program - Advanced Apprenticeship only.English Language Proficiency RequirementsIf you were not born in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa or United States of America you are required to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements set by the University.Applicants are required to provide evidence of completion of:A secondary qualification (Year 11 and 12, or equivalent), orAn Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) diploma level qualification, orBachelor level qualification study for a period of at least 2 years fulltime with a minimum overall GPA of 4.0Completed within Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa, Ireland, or United states of America, which will meet the English proficiency.If you do not satisfy any of the above you will need to undertake an English language proficiency test and achieve the following scores:An International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) overall band score of at least 6.0 with a minimum 5.5 in each subset
  • OrTest of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Requires 550 or better overall and minimum TWE score of 4.5 (Paper Based Test), or 75 or better overall and no score less than 17 (Internet Based Test)
  • OrPearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) - Requires an overall score of 54 with no sub-score less than 46, orAn Occupational English Test with Grades A or B only in each of the four components.English test results remain valid for no more than two years between final examination date and the date of commencement of study, and must appear on a single result certificate.
