CQUniCares Kennas Scholarship

The CQUniCares Kennas Scholarship will provide recognition and financial assistant to a deserving undergraduate accounting, business or law student residing and studying in the Rockhampton region. The selected scholar will also be required to work for Kennas during the full duration of their scholarship.
Eligibility
To be eligible to receive the CQUniCares Kennas Scholarship, an applicant must meet the following criteria:Be enrolled or intending to enrol at CQUniversity in Term 1, 2024;Be enrolled as a first-year student in one of the following courses:Bachelor of Accounting [CQ01]Bachelor of Business [CL86]Bachelor of Accounting/ Business [CQ91]Bachelor of Laws/ Accounting [CB68];Reside and study in the Rockhampton region (postal code range: 4700 – 4706, 4710, 4711, 4714);Be enrolled with a term study load of at least 12 credit points;Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, holder of a Humanitarian Visa or New Zealand Citizen with a permanent home address in Australia;Be enrolled at Census Date in Term 1, 2024;Not be receiving multiple CQUniversity Scholarships that exceed the annual value of $10,000.The selected scholar will be expected to work for Kennas. Employment hours will be flexible, however will need to be at least 24 hours per week. Remuneration will be at market rates for an Undergraduate Accountant. The student’s ability and desire will be assessed by Kennas during the selection process. Kennas will enter into a direct agreement with the scholar regarding employment arrangements. *Payments may continue to be awarded on a pro rata basis to students completing less than 12 credit points in extenuating circumstances. This is at the discretion of both the Student Scholarships Team and Kennas.
