Core: Handle steelfixing materials; Use steelfixing tools and equipment; Cut and bend materials using oxy-LPG equipment; Place and fix reinforcement materials; Arc weld reinforcement steel; Machine cut reinforcement materials; Apply reinforcement schedule; Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry; Plan and organise work; Conduct workplace communication; Apply basic levelling procedures; plus more. Electives: Splice and anchor using mechanical methods; Carry out monostrand post-tensioning; Carry out multistrand post-tensioning; Carry out stressbar post-tensioning; Erect and dismantle restricted height scaffolding; Enter and work in confined spaces; plus more.

Further information:

Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.
