These equity and merit based scholarships were established in 2013 to reward outstanding second year The Co-op Scholarships were established in 2013 to reward outstanding second year undergraduate students who are experiencing financial hardship.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be an Australian citizen, or an Australian permanent humanitarian or resident visa holder; be enrolled in ECU undergraduate Bachelor degree course; be enrolled on campus in a full time load (60 credit points); have completed the first year (120 credit points of current course) at ECU; be continuing in the 2nd year of course; have an Average Weighted Mark (WAM) of greater than 75%; be able to provide evidence of financial hardship (usually demonstrated by being in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink allowance); not be in receipt of any other scholarships (except Commonwealth Scholarships or Student Start Up or Relocation Scholarship payments via Centrelink), and have maintained an academic status of good standing at the end of each semester (as defined in the ECU handbook).

Applicants are required to provide a brief personal statement describing their financial situation and to explain how the scholarship would benefit them.
