Kalyagool Kadadjiny Scholarship
Edith Cowan University (ECU)
Newmont Boddington Gold Pty Ltd will be funding a new undergraduate scholarship each valued at $8,000 per year for 3 years of study at ECU. These scholarships are offered to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students enrolled or planning to enrol in full-time study at ECU, who aspire to work in the mining industry.
Eligibility
Applicants must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent; be enrolled or enrolling into an undergraduate Bachelor degree course at ECU; for current students enrolled in their second semester of Year 1 or enrolled in their second year, have maintained an academic status of good standing at the end of each semester (as defined in the ECU handbook); maintain full time enrolment (minimum of 60 credit points); remain enrolled in the same ECU degree as originally awarded in good standing; and must not be in receipt of another major scholarship.

Applicants will be required to provide 1 x A4 one-sided page (maximum) statement which demonstrates the following: relevance of course to the mining industry and of benefit to the community; career aspirations and how aligned to the mining industry; linkage to country; 2 written references (1 academic and/or work reference, 1 community involvement reference); and evidence of academic achievement.
Amount | $8,000 The scholarship provides $3,500 by electronic funds transfer plus a $500 book voucher each semester. |
