Structure

This course consists of 360 credit points. Students will undertake a mix of theoretical and practical units, consisting of four 15-credit point courses per semester. Students will complete 21 core units and 3 specialisation elective units.

Entry requirements

  • Year 12: Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in any English and ATAR, Satisfactory Completion Units 1 and 2 in Maths: General Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics.Non-Year 12: Previous higher education studies with results at a pass level, including any single subjects of study, or successful completion of a tertiary preparatory course, such as the Federation Access Studies course (FAST), relevant VET qualifications, Federation University FAST program.Satisfactory Completion Unit 3 and 4 Maths: Any study combinaton

Recognition

Upon graduating students may be eligible for full membership with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) and Level 1 Accreditations with other relevant sports organisations.

Study Pathways

Credit will be considered if students have successfully completed higher education or TAFE studies. Advanced standing will be determined on an individual basis, depending on eligibility for credit transfer, prior experience and qualifications. High performing graduates may undertake a Graduate Diploma of Clinical Exercise Physiology, a Master of Strength and Conditioning or a further year of study to obtain an Honours qualification.
