Master of Teaching (Primary)
This postgraduate course will help you take your skills from your undergraduate degree to become a teacher. You may be looking to change your career or youve decided after finishing your undergraduate degree, that teaching is what you really want to do. You will graduate from this degree with the confidence and skills to teach in primary school across Australia and overseas. Its a hands-on course that gets you out into the classroom for a minimum of 60 days, where you can put what youve learnt into practice.you will discover how children learn and how you can help to develop and support their learning. You will look at examples from around the world, and learn how to best work with children from diverse backgrounds. Well help you top up your skills in English, maths, numeracy and more, so that when you start work as a teacher, you are as comfortable and qualified as can be. This 2 year degree may be condensed into 18 months of full time study, or 3 years of part-time study (part-time study is not available to international students). Structure
This course consists of eight core units and two elective depth study units, as well as fieldwork placements. A major learning experience for students is the supervised teaching practicum where students are required to teach in secondary schools for a minimum of 60 days.

Entry requirements
- Entry requirements (year 12) Applicants with current or recent secondary education are not eligible to apply for this course. Entry requirements (non year 12) Prerequisites Bachelor Degree: An approved 3 year degree or equivalent.This course uses the entire academic record as part of its selection considerations. Applicants with a Vocational Education and Training study are not eligible to apply for this course. Applicants with work and life experience are not eligible to apply for this course.
Recognition
Completion of this course will allow graduates to be registered as a graduate primary teacher with a master's qualification.
