The combination of the Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours) and the Master of Engineering Management has been designed to prepare students to become professional, accredited mechanical engineers with an understanding of complex engineering management issues.

Structure

Students complete core (compulsory) topics that include either a major or minor research project, and option topics chosen from a range of option topics available. These topics aim to provide students the ability to critically analyse and evaluate information and solve complex engineering management problems, preparing them for future roles as engineering managers. This degree includes structured engineering work experience and the ability to undertake a substantial research-oriented projects.

Standard entry requirements

This course can be applied for using Year 12, TAFE qualifications, the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT), the Flinders Foundation Studies Program and Tertiary Transfer. Prerequisites: SACE stage two specialist mathematics or mathematical methods or equivalent. Assumed knowledge: knowledge of SACE stage two physics or equivalent is assumed.
