Only with successful completion of the medication endorsement pathway can you assume responsibility as an autonomous prescriber within the Australian healthcare system (pending ANMAC approval). If you pursue the project or research pathway, you'll be ready for roles in management, leadership or education. La Trobe's Master of Midwifery Practice gives midwives the opportunity to move into a new phase of their professional lives.
Structure
To qualify for the award of Master of Midwifery Practice, students must complete 180 credit points consisting of: 30 core credit points 30 elective credit points 60 core choice pathway credit points 60 core choice specialisation credit points
Standard entry requirements
- Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Course specific requirements - Applicants must hold current registration with AHPRA as a midwife.
- Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Undergraduate requirements - Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).
