The Board of Graduate Research will make up to five (5) La Trobe University Research Equity scholarships available to candidates who are commencing a research degree in 2017 who are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders; have a disability, or; come from a low socio-economic background. Applicants must complete the application form for research candidature and scholarship, submit the required documentation and include a 500 word submission outlining the socio-economic or other relevant factors that have hindered their studies. Applicants for the low socio-economic background category must provide supporting financial documentation which includes a photocopy of their most recent tax return, or a Centrelink statement of income, or the payslips for the last three months of employment for each member of their household.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or permanent resident; have achieved a high H2A or equivalent; and meet the eligibility criteria for the proposed course.
Amount | $26,288 The scholarships are valued at $26,288 per annum (2016 rate) for up to 3 years for a doctoral degree by research and two years for Master's by Research. |
