Webster Rural and Regional Dementia Care PhD Scholarship

A doctoral research scholarship is available to an outstanding candidate to undertake research on innovative and sustainable dementia care pathway in Bendigo, and develop evidence-based research that will improve rural dementia care services for Bendigo residents. The project will address administrative, social, economic, environmental or technological challenges to delivering effective, timely and person-centred rural dementia care services.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; and hold a first-class honours degree or equivalent. The successful awardee will also be expected to be based at the La Trobe University, Bendigo Campus, where the Webster project team is based.

The Webster Rural and Regional Dementia Care project is a 3 year research initiative, funded through the bequest of Gordon Webster through Sandhurst Trustees and administered by La Trobe University. Through conducting evidence-based research, this project aims to improve dementia care pathways within rural and regional Victoria, with a specific emphasis on developing innovative and sustainable care for residents of Bendigo and surrounding regions.
