Applicants must: be permanent residents of Australia; be enrolled full time in, or intending to enrol in, the Bachelor of Actuarial Studies program or combined actuarial studies program; and not hold any other scholarship or award. Selection is based on academic merit, financial need and personal circumstances.

No award may be made in any year in which it is considered that there is no applicant of sufficient merit. Students who have held the scholarship previously may re-apply.
