Monash University and the University of Ballarat have decided to proceed with the proposal for the Monash Gippsland campus to join forces with the University of Ballarat to form an expanded, regionally focused 'Federation University Australia' from 1 January 2014. Monash University however will continue to offer its Graduate Entry Medicine program in Gippsland.
Accomodation
Monash Residential Services can assist students to find accommodation. The campus has on-campus accommodation for 390 students in independent living houses and units. There are more than 300 fully furnished units available for on-campus living.
Transport
Bus: Local bus service in Latrobe Valley. Train: Eleven services to and from Melbourne daily. Air: Daily air links to Albury, Wodonga, Sydney and Tasmania.
