Eligibility

Applicants must: be Indigenous Australian students; be commencing full-time undergraduate students in a Commonwealth Supported Place (including the Diploma of Tertiary Studies and Enabling Program) at a Monash campus in Australia; be experiencing financial hardship; and be able to meet all the requirements for the Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship and/or Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship. Selection is based on need.

The scholarship cannot be deferred.

Amount $4,977

The scholarship provides a one-off payment of $4,977 (2017 rate). Recipients will also be awarded an Indigenous Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship, and, where applicable, an Indigenous Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship.
