NHA Australia

This qualification is part of the Health Training Package. It covers workers who provide support for the effective functioning of health services. These workers do not provide direct care assistance functions such as assisting other staff with the care of clients. This is an entry-level qualification and is suited to apprenticeship pathways.

Core: Work effectively with others; Communicate and work effectively in health; Comply with infection control policies and procedures; Participate in WHS processes. Elective streams: Cleaning; Laundry; Food services; Grounds maintenance; General maintenance; Client support; Health administration; Stores; Transport.

Further information:

Students seeking a qualification targeted to a specific work area (such as cleaning or health administration) should select the required number of electives from the relevant group. A generic qualification may be obtained by selecting units of competency from across all elective groups.
