This course is a broad-based social science degree examining crime, the criminal justice system and related social issues. All the specialised knowledge and skills necessary for a career in the highly demanding criminal justice system are taught in this course. This course focuses on the causes of crime and societys response to crime. It will provide a well-rounded perspective on the various arms of the justice system and the relationships between them. Students will graduate with a professional qualification in the field of Criminology and Criminal Justice.

Entry Requirements:

There are no educational prerequisites, no limits on numbers and no requirements to attend lectures


24 units: 8 units at first year level in Criminology and Criminal Justice; 4 compulsory Criminology and Criminal Justice units; 8 units from the Criminal Justice Major; 4 electives. At least 8 units must be Griffith University units, studied at second or third year level; 4 units in the degree must be at third year level; No more than 12 units at first year level.
