RMIT Cedar Pacific UniLodge Melbourne Central Accommodation Scholarship

RMIT University

The scholarship was established for students from an interstate or rural/regional area who are moving/have moved to Melbourne to study at RMIT, who can demonstrate financial disadvantage and other circumstances which impact their ability to study. This scholarship provides accommodation at UniLodge Melbourne Central for either a single semester or full year.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident or a permanent humanitarian visa holder; be enrolling full-time in a certificate IV, diploma, degree or postgraduate by coursework program at RMIT; be from an interstate or rural/regional area and moving/moved to Melbourne to study at RMIT; be able to demonstrate financial disadvantage (e.g., receiving a government tested low income benefit); be able to demonstrate circumstance/s which impact their ability to study (e.g., medical condition, disability, experiencing difficult circumstances, being from an under-represented background (e.g., Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, born overseas, are from a non-English background and recently migrated to Australia; are a current or former refugee; completed secondary school at a School Network Access Program school); have not previously commenced or completed a program at the same level of study or higher. Applicants undertaking a certificate IV or diploma student must: have a government-subsidised place; not be enrolling in an apprenticeship or traineeship program.

The scholarship provides a rental subsidy for accommodation at UniLodge Melbourne City. It is preferred that applicants apply direct to RMIT by the closing date in early October. VTAC applicants will still be considered and should apply via the VTAC scholarships portal by the VTAC closing date, they should indicate that they want to live 'on-campus'.
