UniLodge at RMIT Bundoora Accommodation Scholarship

RMIT University

The scholarship was established for students moving to Melbourne from interstate or rural/regional Victoria and are experiencing financial and/or educational disadvantage, this scholarship provides accommodation at UniLodge at RMIT Bundoora in their first year of study.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, or permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa holders; be commencing full-time study in their first year of a certificate IV, diploma, degree, honours, graduate diploma or masters by coursework program at RMIT in semester 1; be enrolled full-time in both Semester 1 and Semester 2; be able to demonstrate financial and/or educational disadvantage (receiving a Government tested low income benefit, Centrelink Health Care Card, medical condition, disability, experiencing difficult family circumstance, recently migrated to Australia are a current or former refugee completed secondary school at a School Network Access Program school, and be from a non-English speaking background); be relocating from interstate or a Victorian rural/regional area to study at the RMIT Bundoora campus and have not previously commenced or completed a program at the same level of study or higher have not previously been enrolled at RMIT. Applicants undertaking a certificate IV or diploma must: be in a program of at least one full-time year duration; or be in a pathway program combination (a mix of certificate IV and diploma) of at least one year duration; and not be in an apprenticeship or traineeship program.

It is preferred that applicants apply direct to RMIT by the closing date in mid-October. VTAC applicants will still be considered and should apply via the VTAC scholarships portal by the VTAC closing date and should indicate that they want to live 'on-campus'.

Amount $7,000

The scholarship provides a rental subsidy for one bedroom in a four-bedroom multi-share apartment at UniLodge at RMIT Bundoora for the first year of their program.
