Country Medical Foundation Scholarship
The University of Western Australia (UWA)
The scholarships were established by the Country Medical Foundation to assist and encourage students who are committed to undertaking a career in rural/regional medicine in Western Australia and are experiencing financial hardship to complete the Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery at UWA. The scholarships were established in recognition of the role played by the Country Medical Foundation in fostering improved health care services in country Western Australia.
Eligibility
Applicants must: have been educated in and be residents of Western Australia; be enrolled in the Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery at UWA; be able to demonstrate a commitment to a future career in Western Australian rural/regional medicine; and demonstrate financial hardship.
| Amount | $5,000 The scholarship provides a one-off payment of $5,000. Recipients may reapply in subsequent years, however, preference will be given to new applicants. |
