The scholarship is awarded in honour of Dr Ted Maslen, a former Head of the Department of Physics at UWA, to encourage students from rural areas to pursue studies in science.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to year 12 students entering studies in the Faculty of Life and Physical Sciences at university for the first time. Preference will be given to those students who have completed year 12 at a school that is located in a rural or isolated area. Selection is based on academic merit and sporting achievement.

Amount $2,500

The scholarship is valued at $2,500.
