William and Marlene Schrader Postgraduate Scholarship

Mrs Marlene Creina Schrader, having established the William and Marlene Schrader Trust, provides in perpetuity postgraduate scholarships to encourage and further the study of biomedical engineering at The University of Western Australia. The scholarships are awarded for postgraduate studies in biomedical engineering at this University.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents; be able to demonstrate financial hardship; be eligible to enrol or be enrolled as a full-time student; be intending to enrol or be enrolled as an internal student based on a campus; hold a bachelor degree with first class honours (H1) or equivalent; not have completed a degree either at the same level as, or at a higher level; have been accepted into the proposed HDR by the BGRS; and not be in receipt of another award or scholarship that provides a benefit greater than 75 per cent of the William and Marlene Schrader Postgraduate Scholarships base stipend rate.
Amount | $30,000 The scholarship is valued at $30,000 per year. Tenure is 2 years for a Master degree and 3 years for a doctoral degree. The scholarship carries a research travel allowance of up to $5,000 for travel, within Australia or overseas, directly relevant to the scholarship holder's research work, including fieldwork, conference attendance and travel to gather research data. |
